Saturdays of Slaughter
Supposedly formed from the remnants of House Bleth and House Cormaeril after the conclusion of the Abraxus Affair, this gang of thieves, murderers, and cut throats was a plague upon western Cormyr for the better part of 4 years. Although it is far more likely that the organization was run by those attempting to gain notoriety by associating themselves with such an infamous incident, rather than much the hated and hunted former nobles responsible for it, the fear associated with the symbol of the abraxus left at the scene of each of their crimes was palpable. Many a cormyrean was terrified to return home at night to find a loved one missing or worse, dead, with the symbol of the guild burned into the wall or corpse. At its height, it seemed as if every brigand and thug west of Calantar’s Way had joined the guild.
Relief from this terrible scourge came in Eleasias of the Year of Lightning Storms when a group of adventurers laid waste to the guild’s hidden stronghold. In recognition of this great accomplishment the Steel Regent, Alusair Obarskyr, personally commended each of the valiant heroes, granting them title and lands. These five, Aeron Mindreaver, Van Krenswick, Grageon Kittentouch, the rogue Lythar and, posthumously, Branyonne Cormaeril, were hailed as heroes of the realm. May their legend never falter.
